CobraEye Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 14, 2026
CobraEye is operated by GuyCo LLC (“CobraEye,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how CobraEye handles information when you visit our website, request access, use the CobraEye application, or participate in CobraEye operational SMS/MMS communications.
1. Purpose and scope
CobraEye is an aviation decision-support environment intended for authorized operational, safety, maintenance, aviation, government, contractor, and support personnel. It is not a public social network or consumer messaging service.
CobraEye is an advisory tool. It is not an approved system of record, flight-release authority, or substitute for command judgment.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use CobraEye, we may collect:
-
Account and access-request information, such as your name, official email address, organization, unit, duty position, requested role, sponsor information, and mission justification.
-
Authentication and security information necessary to validate access, including certificate subject details, issuer, certificate expiration, stable identifier, and certificate fingerprint or similar technical credential identifier.
-
Operational use information, such as approved role, unit selection, access time, session activity, and audit-log entries.
-
Communications information, including SMS/MMS phone number, message content, delivery status, attachments or media metadata, and the sortie or operational thread to which a message is assigned.
-
SMS consent information, including opt-in or opt-out keyword, time, source, policy version, and phone number.
-
Limited caller-name lookup information, if available, including a returned name, lookup status, source, and lookup time. Caller-name results are unverified and do not establish identity, authorization, role, unit, or sortie assignment.
-
Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser/session information, request metadata, error logs, and service-health events.
CobraEye does not collect biometric data. A CAC certificate may establish identity through the browser’s certificate-authentication process, but CobraEye does not retrieve, store, or process fingerprints, facial data, iris data, or other biometric templates.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
-
Review, approve, administer, suspend, or revoke access.
-
Authenticate authorized users and protect the application.
-
Apply role-based operational permissions.
-
Receive, route, assign, retain, and reconstruct operational communications.
-
Associate communications with an operational thread or sortie when authorized personnel make that assignment.
-
Support security monitoring, troubleshooting, auditability, and service improvement.
-
Meet applicable records, safety, legal-hold, contractual, and operational requirements.
4. SMS/MMS communications
CobraEye operational SMS/MMS coordination is voluntary.
To opt in, a user texts START or YES to the published CobraEye Operations number. Message frequency varies with operational need. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
An ordinary inbound message may be retained as an individual operational request, but it does not establish consent for recurring operational SMS/MMS coordination. CobraEye records opt-in and opt-out status to administer the messaging program and demonstrate compliance.
Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS/MMS is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not send classified information or Controlled Unclassified Information through CobraEye SMS/MMS.
5. When we share information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information only as reasonably necessary to operate CobraEye, including with:
-
Communications, hosting, infrastructure, authentication, and security providers acting on CobraEye’s behalf.
-
Authorized administrators and users with a legitimate operational need to know.
-
Government, legal, safety, or regulatory entities when required by law, lawful process, or an applicable agreement.
-
A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of substantially all related assets.
We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent for marketing or promotional use.
6. Data sources and third-party information
CobraEye may display or process aviation, weather, flight-plan, aircraft-position, NOTAM, PIREP, SIGMET, radio, and related data obtained from government, public, commercial, or other authorized sources.
Those sources may impose their own terms, data-use restrictions, accuracy limitations, and privacy practices. CobraEye does not control third-party data quality, availability, or retention practices.
7. Security and retention
CobraEye uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. Persistent CobraEye application databases are encrypted at rest, and access is restricted through authentication, role controls, and audit logging.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users must not use CobraEye to transmit, upload, store, or discuss classified information.
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the operational, security, legal, records, audit, and business purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law, contract, legal hold, or approved organizational policy.
8. Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain account information by contacting us at info@cobraeye.app.
Requests may be limited when retention is necessary for security, safety, records, legal-hold, operational, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes. To stop operational text messages, reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE from the enrolled mobile number.
9. Children and eligibility
CobraEye is intended for authorized adult personnel in aviation, government, military, contractor, maintenance, safety, and support roles. It is not directed to children, and CobraEye does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as CobraEye evolves. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, may require renewed acknowledgement or consent.
